20 miles....

So we went on a hike to see where Rick's 3 greats grandpa carved his name in 1888. We had the understanding that the hike was 3 miles one way. well when we got to the bottom of the path( after 90 minutes of 4WD on rough roads) we were told the 3 miles was how the GPS mapped it (by bird's filght). The guy in charge was guessing 8-10 miles each way. I got alittle worried about Rick's ankle and the amount of food I had packed for 7 people. As we were loading the backpacks I whispered to Rick "are we going to starve on this mountain". He assured me no, but I was not convinced. Yes, the hike was hard and hot. But so rewarding!!!! New Toy

Rick has been asking around trying to find someone who would need him to dig something with his brand new Skid steer( bobcat). So finally I told him that it would be nice to have a garden this year. So out he went and started digging a ditch for a new water line. He has now taught both Layne and Trevin how to drive it. He treats it like his new best friend. Out there 24/7 he has a pretty good lookin farmers tan. Except for his head which is white as white compared to his neck. He looks pretty funny on Sunday's.............. YUCK!!!!!!!!

Deep Cleaning the house isn't always as easy as it looks. As I was vacuuming, I realized that the vacuum wasn't sucking as hard as it should. So I decided to go into the garage and grab the shop vac. to try and pull out what ever was stuck in there. As I was sucking( with the vacuum not my mouth ;) I pulled out something that really scared me. By now your probably wondering what the heck was in my walls. Well there were two disgusting Clorox Wipes!!!!! Oh and not to mention a Candy Sour Straw. It was pretty disgusting........ By the way Nikki wrote this :)
